NEW YORK — The Immaculate Heart High School alumnae clustered together are screaming. Two guys who went to Palisades High School are going nuts. Also on hand are Jade, who I knew in high school in Los Angeles, and this guy Jack, who I met in L.A. more recently.
6:45 p.m. — With less than 90 minutes to go, both teams have revealed their Game 5 lineups. The Dodgers will go with ace Flaherty, who pitched a 10-inning win last Friday in Game 1. Roberts’ only swap is Edman from the nine spot to the seven, replacing Muncy.
Los Angeles erased a 5-0 deficit thanks to some incredibly sloppy play by the Yankees in the fifth inning, then rallied against New York’s bullpen in the eighth inning to take the lead. Game 3 starter Walker Buehler came out of the bullpen to get the save in Game 5. Here is the final out of the 2024 season:

Scott pilgrim vs the world game
Part of the fun of any version ofScott Pilgrimis that he doesn’t necessarily defeat every Evil Ex-Boyfriend by beating them in physical combat. Sometimes he just has to be smarter than his opponents. One of the best instances of this is when Scott goads pretty-good-skateboarder turned pretty-good-actorLucas Leeinto grinding down an absurdly long handrail, resulting in Lee grinding so fast that he bursts into flames – and it’s pretty much the same in both the comic and the movie.
Loosely following the story of the graphic novels, up to four players can play as Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Kim Pine or Stephen Stills, along with the unlockable character NegaScott and the downloadable characters Knives Chau and Wallace Wells, who must battle through seven levels in order to defeat Ramona’s seven evil exes. Characters have their own individual movesets, which can be expanded upon by gaining enough experience, and are also able to use weapons. Each player has Heart Points and Guts Points, the latter of which can revive players if they are knocked out, or be used to perform special moves such as summoning Knives or the unlockable assist character Mr. Chau. Defeating enemies earns coins which can be spent in shops to purchase items that can replenish health or boost stats. Certain items can be taken “to go” to be automatically used when the player runs out of health. Players can also enter Subspace areas which act as bonus areas where extra coins can be earned. During co-operative play, players can revive fallen comrades at the cost of some money, give each other health or money, and simultaneously taunt for a combined attack. Various cheat codes unlock extra features, such as a Sound Test, a Boss Rush and a Survival Horror mode.
Characters also have access to several special moves, which use a “Guts” meter: an area-clearing attack that has low power, but will knock nearby enemies away; and a special striker move, which will call in another character, usually Scott’s romantic stalker Knives Chau, for a quick support attack. If a player manages to take out five enemies without taking a hit, their character will glow for a short time, increasing their speed and strength drastically. In the co-op mode players can perform attacks together and lend each other money.
Music is just as crucial to any version ofScott Pilgrimas video game references are, andScott Pilgrim vs. The Worldboasts lots of incredible talent who worked on the songs, including Beck, Metric, Dan the Automator, and Broken Social Scene. The Matthew Patel musical number and arguably Scott’s “Ramona” tune are pretty much as they appear in the comics, but the movie opts for original songs in the rest of the story, including “Launchpad McQuack,” which isn’t the actual title of the song.
