The hardest game in the world
The Yankees used their top bullpen arms on Tuesday to hold on to their lead, and while they’ll be available if needed on Wednesday – this is an elimination game – it’s asking a lot to expect them to shut down the Dodgers again. David Icke denied entry into Netherlands This is Cole’s game as long as he can take it. It’s on his shoulders. This is why he’s here.
“We’re trying to get a game tomorrow. That’s where our focus lies,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said postgame. “Hopefully we can go be this amazing story and shock the world, but right now it’s about trying to get a lead, trying to grab a game and force another one and then on from there. But we got to grab one first.”
Buehler, who enjoys pitching in cold weather, is 3-4 with a 3.25 ERA in 17 career postseason starts. He’s allowed just one run and five hits with 17 strikeouts over 13 innings in two previous World Series outings, in 2018 against Boston and 2020 vs. Tampa Bay — both in Game 3.
Yankees: The Yankees are facing a 3-0 series deficit because their offense, led by their presumptive American League MVP, has gone missing. On Monday, New York produced four hits, five walks and boos from the home crowd. Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4; the rest of the team finished 3-for-27. Aaron Judge went 0-for-3 with a strikeout and a walk, running his series tally to 1-for-12 with seven strikeouts. Stanton’s double in the fourth inning Monday was New York’s only extra-base hit. The Yankees went 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position and left eight runners on base. They had rallies end with a questionable send (Stanton getting thrown out at home in the fourth inning) and a questionable strike three call (Gleyber Torres taking a pitch above the strike zone with two runners on base in the seventh inning). This is certain: The Yankees, who have managed to score seven runs in this series, are another quiet night away from getting swept. — Jorge Castillo
Among the three, Buehler was probably the most uncertain. He returned from a second Tommy John surgery midway through the year, struggled through a 5.38 ERA in 16 regular-season starts and seemed to have lost his overpowering fastball.
Game 7 world series 2019
Max Scherzer, making his cortisone-aided comeback from the debilitating neck injury that had made him a no-go for Sunday night’s Game 5, didn’t have his typical movement or mastery. He induced just 11 swinging strikes among his 103 pitches in five innings. A viewer only able to tune in every 20 minutes or so would be forgiven for thinking that the Astros had somehow been given permission to begin every inning with two aboard.
This was the first World Series appearance for the franchise that began its existence as the Montreal Expos in 1969, and moved to Washington, D.C. in 2005 to become the Nationals. The Nationals were also the last team from the 1969 expansion class (which also included the Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers—who began as the Seattle Pilots—and San Diego Padres) to earn a trip to the series. Also, after their World Series appearance, all National League (NL) teams had played in at least one World Series. The only American League (AL) team that has yet to play in a World Series is the Seattle Mariners, who were part of the 1977 expansion. Prior to this series, the Astros and Nationals had never played each other in a postseason series, even though Houston played in the NL from 1962 to 2012 before moving to the AL West in 2013. In fact, the Nationals are the only team the Astros have faced in the World Series that they have never faced in a pre-World Series playoff round, since the Astros have faced the White Sox, Dodgers, and Braves during at least one playoff round prior to the World Series. The Astros and Nationals did not play an interleague game in 2019, and last faced each other during the 2017 regular season. The two teams share a spring training site in West Palm Beach, Florida, and opened the 2019 spring training schedule against each other. This was the second World Series to feature two expansion teams, the first being in 2015 between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets. The Astros were deemed as heavy favorites to win the title.
Gymnast and Houston native Simone Biles threw out the ceremonial first pitch of Game 2. The starting pitchers were Stephen Strasburg for the Nationals and Justin Verlander for the Astros. After a walk and a single to start the game, Anthony Rendon batted in two runs with a double. Alex Bregman tied the game with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first. In the top of the second inning, Verlander recorded the 200th postseason strikeout of his career, surpassing John Smoltz (whose career spanned 1988–2009) and setting a new MLB record.

Star wars open world game
Over the additional 15 hours it took to complete the game’s critical path, those hopes didn’t pan out. Star Wars Outlaws is a visually beautiful experience set in a compelling franchise setting, but the things you actually do in the game are so simple and same-y that they just don’t generate interest or momentum. Before too long, only the main story felt rewarding enough to bother with.
If you want to stay on top of any new Star Wars Outlaws previews as they drop, it may be worth keeping an eye on the Ubisoft YouTube channel. In addition to future trailers, you’ll also be able to find special behind-the-scenes looks at the game’s development process as well as the world premiere video, which you can see below, too.
“Red Dead Redemption is phenomenal, the world as a world – not as a checklist of activities that are repeated often. But I think that Ghost of Tsushima, what I loved about it was this purity of having a player fantasy and really leaning into it. This is the story, the world, the character, everything fits together with the gameplay guiding everything. That’s the fantasy of ‘you are a samurai ninja in Japan.’ That was one of the guiding lights for this.”
